Over the year, the Budapest Sziget Festival has became one of the biggest cultural and musical events in Europe. The Sziget Festival (« Sziget » means island in hungarian) is the opportunity to party on an island in the heart of Budapest with all Europe. Indeed, in 2016, 102 countries were represented.

Each festival, hundreds of artists from around the world perform on nearly fifty scenes and marquees. But this is not all, you can also find some other space like a space devoted to art and creation such as theater, exposure…, the Sziget beach to relax, many restaurant and bar, as well as stands to taste culinary specialties from Hungary or elsewhere.

The Sziget Festival, it’s average thousands of concerts, shows and events. It allows audiences in the East and West to meet to celebrate music and creation in any fraternity.

This festival is a place of meeting, discovery and freedom. That’s why the island name is « Island of Freedom ».

This year, the festival hosts many music artists like Wiz Khalifa, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Metronomy and so on. It’s also art performances like Cirque Alfonse : Barbu which came from canada or Cie Diagn’Art : Banlieue from a Senegalese city. And many others.
