We are three french students going abroad to study information technology.

Let’s talk about our destination for this Erasmus spring semester. We are going to Budapest, the capital city of Hungary in eastern Europe. Our host university is Óbuda University, it’s named after Óbuda, a part of Budapest and it’s a technical university. We are going there to study information technology.

There is 1,759,407 inhabitants in the 23 districts of Budapest and we hope that we could meet a lot of them. The food in Budapest is really various because of History : modern Hungarian cuisine is a synthesis of ancient Asiatic components mixed with French, Germanic, Italian, and Slavic elements.

There is plenty of things to do in Budapest. We can mention a few places such as the Hungarian National Museum, the Hungarian National Gallery, the Museum of Fine Arts and others. There is also the Sziget Festival, one of the largest outdoor music festival in Europe.

We are going there by plane from Paris because it’s cheaper than from Nantes and we have found a place to live for 3 people. This is situated near the tramway, so we are going to use it to go to Óbuda.
