Jo Reggelt,
Today, i will speak about traditional Hungarian food. One of feature about hungarian food is the massive uses of paprika. The Hungarian eat a lot of meat, mostly pork and chicken, and not many vegetables.
Indeed, the typical meal is composed of a soup, a main dish and sometimes a dessert.
First of all, the best soup of the Hungarian gastronomy is the Palócleves. It’s composed with pork meat, paprika, bean and sour cream.

Then, the most emblatic dish of Hungary is the goulash or « Gulyás » in Hungarian. It’s a sort of stew with meat, potato, tomato and a lot of paprika. You can eat the goulash with some bread that you put inside to absorb the soup. It’s really awesome !

Favorite desserts of Hungarian are the túrórudi and the kürtöskalács. The túrórudi is a sweet composed of a white cheese stick coated with chocolate and the kürtöskalács is a sweet dough wrapped around a roll and cooked. After, it’s sprinkled with sugar, cocoa, chocolate and so on… It’s so good and very cheap !
To conclude, the Hungary is also known for these wines and alcohol. The two most Hungarian wines are the Tokay and the Egri Bikavér which means « Blood of bull ». The Tokay is a white wine and the Egri Bikavér is a red wine. The most reputed and tested alcohol is the Pálinká, it’s the Hungarian brandy.
